We began by building practical tools to help our own field teams work faster, make clearer decisions and solve real problems in the aisle. But those tools grew — shaped by retailers, brands and distributors who needed the same clarity. Along the way, we brought together leaders like DataOrbis, Argility, FleetDomain, MediaMetrics and Chirp under one purpose: helping the industry win at the point of purchase through connected, data-driven technology.


Today, Smollan Technologies brings more than 30 integrated solutions together across execution, supply chain, analytics and automation — used in over 20 markets worldwide. What started small has become a global ecosystem, built to simplify complexity, bring systems together and spark continuous innovation.

2010s

The Field-to-Digital Leap

We started where it mattered most: on the ground, in stores, shoulder-to-shoulder with the people who keep retail moving. As our field teams grew across 60 countries, we built technology to support them — not in theory, but in the real world. Those early mobile and data platforms didn’t just improve our operations; they sparked a shift in how we thought about the power of technology to transform retail.

2016

Data Becomes the Core

As our tools matured, we realised the real opportunity wasn’t only digitising work — it was understanding it. Data became the centre of our world. We set out to capture, analyse and automate every meaningful moment in the retail cycle, helping our clients make clearer, faster and more confident decisions. This was the moment we moved from “using tech” to becoming a data business.

2020

Building the Full Retail Stack

Our ambition grew. With acquisitions like DataOrbis, we brought in experts who understood retail from every angle — from forecasting and planning to predictive analytics. What started as a collection of powerful tools began forming a connected ecosystem. We weren’t building features anymore. We were building the backbone of modern retail.

2021

A Cluster with One Purpose

To move faster and think bigger, we brought all our data and technology capabilities together for the first time. This wasn’t a structural change on paper — it was a shift in mindset. 2022

The Integration Catalyst

The acquisitions of Argility, CQuential and FleetDomain added decades of software and supply chain expertise to our ecosystem. MediaMetrics and Chirp deepened our reach into retail media and consumer insight. Suddenly, the pieces connected — execution, data, software, AI and media — all working together. Integration stopped being an aspiration and became our advantage.
